Oak Lodge School, Barnet: Covid-19 Response

Coronavirus Covid-19

Oak Lodge School, like all other schools and all businesses across the world has been severely impacted by the current pandemic crisis. This page provides the latest information on the school response.

The school has been gradually re-opening to increasing numbers of students since 1st June 2020, in line with UK government advice. Students have gradually returned following thorough risk assessment and consultation with staff and parents. This has enabled almost 70 students to return to school for part-time learning.

Parents of 14-19 students may follow this link for information about examinations and external assessments for summer 2020.

The school currently plans to re-open fully to all students on Monday 7th September. The latest version of our risk assessment for this process that has been shared with Barnet local authority, trade unions and school staff is available here. A much shorter document that shows a 5-point scale strategy for school operation can also be accessed here.

The school will continue to consult with all stakeholders in order to achieve a safe and successful return to school for all students in the Autumn term. Our risk assessment will continue to be revised taking account of views expressed by interested parties. If, as a parent you would like to comment on any aspect of the risk assessment, please contact the headteacher directly by email to lynda.walker@oaklodgeschool.org
